The Rhine & Moselle River

The beautiful Rhine & Moselle Rivers

Cruise along the spectacular Rhine and Moselle Rivers for a journey of picturesque sights, medieval towns and famous Rieslings.

One of the longest and most important rivers in Europe, the Rhine River runs for over 1,232km from its source in the Swiss Alps, through the Principality of Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, France and the Netherlands before emptying into the North Sea at Rotterdam.

Our Rhine River cruise will take you through the magnificent Rhine Gorge, a steep gorge filled with ancient castles and stunning vineyards. Sail through the Middle Rhine Valley, peppered with quaint villages, rugged fortresses, remote chapels and precipitous vineyards and look out for the fabled Lorelei rock, where legend tells of a beautiful girl who would lure mariners to their doom on the rocks with her seductive songs.

Peacefully winding its way between Trier and Koblenz, tracing one of Germany’s most delightful river valleys, the 547 kilometre Moselle River is a main tributary of the romantic Rhine, joining at Koblenz.

Dreamily flowing through France, Luxembourg and Germany, take in the beautiful river valleys, flourishing wine vineyards, medieval architecture and towns in the region as you cruise through the picturesque middle to lower Moselle.

As a crucial industrial route, the Moselle is both a functioning contemporary waterway and a stunning gem on the European river cruising region.

Famed for the wines and liquors produced in the valleys along the river, the Moselle’s characteristic drop is the Riesling. The Riesling grape is ‘terroir-expressive’, meaning the wine is greatly influenced by the terrain of the region it is produced in and the Moselle Valley Rieslings are considered the best in Europe.
