21 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Uluru

    Welcome to the very heart of Australia. Begin your discovery of the Red Centre this afternoon with a visit to the Uluru and Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Enjoy your Special Stay for the next two nights where you will enjoy a welcome dinner.

    Take the opportunity to upgrade your stay to the luxurious Longitude 131° luxury wilderness camp (at additional cost, must be booked prior to departure and will substitue accommodation and touring activities).

  2. Day 2 - Uluru


    Be filled with wonder as the sun rises over Uluru, followed by breakfast and an informative walking tour of significant sights around its base, or choose a Harley-Davidson™ motorcycle ride to the viewing point overlooking Uluru. Alternatively, see the desert from the top of a camel or enjoy a trek around the base of Uluru. Discover the mysteries of Kata Tjuta and Walpa Gorge during your afternoon visit.


    Tonight, enjoy a unique dining experience set amidst the ‘Field of Light’. With Uluru as a back drop, as the sun sets and the lights start to twinkle, just like the stars above, you’ll enjoy canapés and authentic Australian cuisine.

  3. Day 3 - Uluru > Kings Canyon

    View Uluru and Kata Tjuta from the air (at additional cost, must be booked before departure).

    Travel to the rugged Kings Canyon. Walk along the rim to discover a beautiful area of cool waterholes or stroll along the canyon floor for a more relaxed walk. 

    Overnight stay in Kings Canyon.

  4. Day 4 - Kings Canyon > Alice Springs

    Observe the majesty of the East MacDonnell Ranges as you approach Alice Springs, Australia’s most famous outback town. Enjoy a city tour, including a visit to the legendary Royal Flying Doctor Service, then check into your hotel for a two night stay. Dinner tonight is served outdoors and is an outback bush BBQ with bush damper cooking and entertainment by a bush balladeer.

  5. Day 5 - Alice Springs


    Journey by 4WD to the oasis of Palm Valley or experience the grandeur of the West MacDonnell Ranges and Standley Chasm. Alternatively, enjoy a Taste of the Outback. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the hotel with the Sounds of Starlight Didgeridoo Theatre.

  6. Day 6 - Alice Springs > The Ghan

    Visit Anzac Hill for panoramic views of Alice Springs before an Aboriginal Cultural Tour to the Alice Springs Desert Park and a visit to the School of Air. All aboard for your overnight Special Stay on the famous Ghan train (Gold Service). This is one of the world’s greatest train journeys. Relax in the Outback Explorer Lounge before dinner in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant.

  7. Day 7 - The Ghan > Darwin

    Enjoy breakfast on board as you gaze out of the window taking inspiration from the ever-changing landscape.Upon arrival in Katherine, choose between a guided cruise through Katherine Gorge, where you will marvel at the towering red ochre sandstone walls and hear stories of the Jawoyn people or enjoy The Ghan’s cultural experience that will take you to the heart of this area. Create your own Indigenous painting, learn to throw a spear and hear ancient Dreamtime tales. Reboard the train and travel to Darwin for a four night stay.

  8. Day 8 - Darwin


    Cruise on the Adelaide River, home to the ‘jumping crocodiles’ or visit Litchfield National Park. Take the hop-on-hop-off bus around town or the WWII Bombing of Darwin tour.

    Enjoy dinner tonight at the hotel.

  10. Day 10 - Darwin


    Cruise on the Adelaide River, home to the ‘jumping crocodiles’ or take a day trip to Litchfield National Park. Alternatively, enjoy a sunset cruise on Darwin Harbour, take the hop-on-hop-off bus around town or the WWII Bombing of Darwin tour.

  11. Day 11 - Darwin > Kakadu National Park

    Travel to World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. Visit Nourlangie Rock and marvel at the ancient Aboriginal rock art. Visit Bowali Visitors Centre for a greater understanding of the area before cruising on the Yellow Water Billabong, spotting crocodiles and bird life. Enjoy an overnight stay.

  12. Day 12 - Kakadu National Park > Katherine

    Opt to view Kakadu’s lush wetlands and stark escarpments from the air (at additional cost, must be booked prior to departure).

    Discover the World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park and be amazed by the wildlife and Aboriginal art. Tonight enjoy your Special Stay, nestled in natural bush. 


    Your dinner cruise through Katherine Gorge will transport you into the spiritual world of the Jawoyn people.

  13. Day 13 - Katherine > Kununurra

    Explore the immense Lake Argyle, before joining your cruise down the spectacular Ord River. Relax tonight at your resort in Kununurra.

  14. Day 14 - Kununurra > El Questro

    Take an optional flight over the Bungle Bungles for a birds eye view of these unique sandstone structures (at additional cost, must be booked prior to departure). 


    Your local guide will take you on a tour of Kununurra. Learn about the local importance of the sandalwood tree and the Ord River Irrigation Scheme.

    Travel to the acclaimed El Questro Wilderness Park for a two night Special Stay at Emma Gorge in deluxe tented cabins.

    Upgrade your stay to the deluxe El Questro Homestead (at additional cost, must be booked prior to departure and will substitute accommodation and touring activities).

  15. Day 15 - El Questro


    Choose between cruising through the Chamberlain Gorge or discovering the traditional culture and history of El Questro. Alternatively, join a park ranger on a bird spotting walk.


    Relax over evening drinks at the airstrip while capturing stunning views of the sunset at Emma Gorge.

  16. Day 16 - El Questro > Kununurra

    Visit the Kimberley’s oldest town, Wyndham and enjoy the view from the Five Rivers Lookout where the rivers of the Kimberley flow to sea. 
    Enjoy afternoon tea and a tour of Hoochery Distillery, Western Australia’s first ever rum manufacturer.

  17. Day 17 - Kununurra > Halls Creek

    Admire the striking colours of the massive Carr Boyd Ranges as you travel to the world’s largest single producers of diamonds, the Argyle Diamond Mine. Join your Indigenous guide for a tour and lunch. Stay tonight in Halls Creek.

  18. Day 18 - Halls Creek > Fitzroy Crossing

    Visit China Wall, a natural white stone wall that looks like the Great Wall of China. This afternoon, cruise the Fitzroy River through the exquisite Geikie Gorge. Your overnight stay is Fitzroy Crossing.

  19. Day 19 - Fitzroy Crossing > Broome


    Meet a traditional land owner at the Boab prison tree. 

    Continue to Broome for a two night stay.

  20. Day 20 - Broome


    Choose between a tour on a Harley-Davidson™ Trike or riding camels along famous Cable Beach. Alternatively, visit Willie Creek Pearl Farm or enjoy a town tour that ends with sunset on Cable Beach. 

    Take an opportunity to fly in a seaplane and experience the Horizontal Falls on an exhilarating ride (at additional cost, must be booked prior to departure and will replace Scenic Freechoice touring).
