16 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Calgary > Banff

    Welcome to the Canadian Rockies where your journey of wonder begins. Upon arrival at Calgary, transfer to Banff where you’ll meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers. Feel like royalty as you check into your mountain or valley view room for a two night Special Stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs, the ‘Castle in the Rockies’. Tonight, enjoy a sumptuous welcome dinner.

  2. Day 2 - Banff

    Be swept away by paradisical Banff National Park, the first national park established in Canada and a coveted World Heritage-listed Site.

    Experience ‘cowboy country’ with a leisurely trail ride on horseback or wagon along the Bow River, surrounded by Banff’s spectacular soaring peaks. Feast on Alberta beef and try new flavours like elk or bison at an authentic BBQ cookout. Later you’ll be joined by one of Banff’s local legends for a fireside chat and an insight into the history of Banff National Park.

  3. Day 3 - Banff > Lake Louise

    Drive through the Rocky Mountains, past mesmerising lakes and towering mountains en route to Lake Louise. Check in for your two night Special Stay in a stunning lakeview room at the opulent Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

    Enjoy a choice of restaurants at your hotel tonight, from fine to casual dining.

  4. Day 4 - Lake Louise:

    After a leisurely start to the day, ascend high into the mountains on the Lake Louise Gondola. Keep a lookout for grizzly bears and other iconic species of wildlife as you ride the lift through regions teeming with native wildlife.

    Meet a retired member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for an insight into the importance of the Mounties in Canada, past and present.

  5. Day 5 - Icefields Parkway > Jasper

    Drive along one of the most famous roads in the world, the Icefields Parkway, followed by an unforgettable ‘Ice Explorer’ ride onto the Athabasca Glacier. Enjoy rustic-style accommodation at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, set on the banks of glacier-fed Lac Beauvert.

    Jasper National Park is one of the world’s largest dark sky preserves. Join astronomers from Jasper Planetarium for a breathtaking Dark Sky Experience and an exclusive twilight supper.

  6. Day 6 - Jasper

    Don your leathers and hit the open road in a Harley Davidson™ sidecar or, if you prefer an aquatic adventure, go rafting down the Athabasca River or boating on Maligne Lake. Alternatively, take a scenic drive around Jasper’s stunning lakes and explore Maligne Canyon or rise above it all and take in the magnificent views on the Jasper SkyTram.

  7. Day 7 - Okanagan Valley

    Drive into the picturesque Okanagan Valley, known for its fine wineries and abundant local produce. The luxurious Sparkling Hill Resort & Spa will be your base and Special Stay for the next two nights. This afternoon and evening are free for you to relax and unwind in the resort’s state-of-the art spa and enjoy a delicious dinner at your leisure.

  8. Day 8 - Okanagan Valley

    Spend the day visiting some of the region’s most innovative family-owned vineyards, including a fascinating winery owned and run by members of the local Syilx First Nations band, merging modern culture with indigenous history. You’ll sample some wonderful wines along the way, enjoy a hands on harvest experience and feast on local produce with a delectable ‘farm-to-fork’ meal.

  9. Day 9 - Okanagan Valley > Vancouver

    Head to Vancouver today, but not before one last winery visit! On arrival check into the exclusive Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, situated right in the heart of the city.

  10. Day 10 - Vancouver

    Take a simulated flight over Canada’s greatest landmarks or treat yourself to Vancouver’s best dim sum or signature Italian meatballs on a walking tour to one of Vancouver’s less-visited quarters. Alternatively, take a creative photography tour in preparation for the next leg of your journey.

  11. Day 11 - Victoria > Butchart Gardens

    Cross the Georgia Strait by ferry to the charming harbourside city of Victoria where you’ll enjoy a two night Special Stay at Victoria’s iconic Fairmont Empress Hotel. This afternoon, head to the spectacular Butchart Gardens, created out of an abandoned quarry over a century ago and lovingly developed into the floral masterpiece you see today. After exploring the gardens, indulge in a sumptuous High Tea in the former Butchart family residence.

  12. Day 12 - Victoria

    Look out for orcas on a whale watching cruise either by Zodiac or cruise boat. Alternatively, explore Victoria on foot with a walking tour of its historic backstreets and hidden highlights or indulge in afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel.

  13. Day 13 - Victoria > Campbell River

    Take a leisurely drive on the picturesque seaside route from Victoria and Campbell River, stopping to explore some of the charming towns dotted along the coastline and savour local cuisine along the way.  
    On arrival, check into the Comfort Inn & Suites Campbell River and enjoy an evening at leisure. Explore the beautiful Discovery Pier on a leisurely walk and take in the stunning views of Discovery Passage, Quadra Island and the Coast Mountain Range.

  14. Day 14 - Campbell River > Knight Inlet

    Enjoy the best possible views of the Campbell River on an exciting floatplane flight on your way to Glendale Cove, Knight Inlet. Settle into the floating Knight Inlet Lodge for a two night Special Stay, a Scenic exclusive.
    Embark on a bear viewing adventure at Glendale Cove, home to one of the largest concentrations of the majestic grizzly in British Columbia. Break for lunch at the lodge before heading back in search of more bears followed by a sightseeing cruise. Your cruise offers the ideal opportunity to spot splendid wildlife like seals, sea lions and dolphins. The magnificent scenery of thundering waterfalls, ancient glaciers and towering mountains is sure to stop you in your tracks.
    Return to your lodge for a delicious dinner with wine to exchange notes with fellow travellers about the action-packed hours. You’ll even have the opportunity to attend an informative presentation about the native wildlife you witnessed during the day.

  15. Day 15 - Knight Inlet

    Take a therapeutic walk within the temperate rainforest of the beautiful Kwalate River Valley. You could also take a guided tracking tour to learn more about the intriguing world of bears.

    And if you still haven’t had your fill of the beautiful beast, go on another bear viewing adventure before dinner, either by boat in spring or from the viewing platforms in summer. This is your chance to capture unforgettable photographs of your trip.

  16. Day 16 - Vancouver

    Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye. After breakfast, board your floatplane flight to Campbell River then transfer to the airport for your connecting flight to Vancouver. Your tour ends on arrival in Vancouver airport.
