Guided by Experts

Immerse yourself further into this captivating region with invaluable insights from experts on board. Re-joining with the Discovery Team of up to 20 polar experts this season is Ian Godfrey, Head Conservator at the Mawson’s Huts Foundation, who will accompany all three East Antarctica voyages. On the exclusive Mawson’s Antarctica voyage, Dr Louise Emmerson from the Cape Denison Seabird Research Team will also be on board, adding a rare depth to your journey.

It is our privilege to welcome Robert Swan—the first person to walk to both the North and South Poles—along with his son, fellow explorer Barney Swan. This remarkable father-son duo will join us on Antarctica’s Ross Sea: Majestic Ice & Wildlife, departing 29 January 2026.
